Warwick shopping party planned in honor of area veterans

Warwick shoppers who are becoming somewhat frazzled as they buy their holiday gifts may walk away from a local pop-up craft market feeling whole lot better.

Operation Made will provide local veteran-owned businesses with an opportunity to be part of an activity that gives them some time in the spotlight. The first 50 vets through the door will be treated to a free meal, and anyone else who would like to purchase their lunch will be able to do so on site.

The December Craft Show will include items crafted by at least 50 former military members, and there will be additional vendors setting up a temporary sales area out in the parking lot. Everyone is welcome to bundle up and browse through them, and it is anticipated that there will be lots of giveaways and other fun for the public.

Attending a community market that supports members of the community or another cause gives people a chance to get into the holiday spirit while they purchase gifts for everyone on their list. Distributing materials crafted by a flyer printing company well ahead of time will help to make sure a particular function meets its fundraising goals.

Operation Made will be getting the festive season off to a fun start on December 3. Everyone is invited to stop by and shop from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at 1060 Toll Gate Road.
