Warwick shelter to benefit from summer show
The Warwick Animal Shelter provides a safe harbor for companion animals, and it will be the beneficiary of an activity that will welcome area classic car fans.
A huge variety of cars, trucks and other transport will be on display for the public during the 14th annual Cause for Paws classic car show that will be rolling into the parking area at the shelter, which is located at 101 Arthur W. Divine Boulevard. Everything from antique autos to muscle cars, exotics, and even fire trucks will be in the mix.
Those who would like to include their pride and joy will be asked to pay a registration fee of $15, and dash plaques with a graphic design will be distributed for as long as supplies last. Swag bags will also be handed out until they run out, and admission for the spectators will be free.
Along with the chance to enjoy the vehicles and meet their owners, people at the show will be treated to classic rock tunes and a chance to try their luck in an even-split draw, and there will be some adoptable furry friends on site as well. Those who bring a donation of wet cat or dog food will receive an extra ticket for the prize draw to thank them for their support.
The Friends of Warwick Animal Shelter has invited one and all to support its efforts by attending this community celebration, which is on Sunday, June 11.
