An upcoming event in Warwick will bring people together in a fun event that will help to raise funds and awareness of lung cancer and other diseases that affect the respiratory system.
The day will feature a Lung Force Heroes walk, and a special Action Passport will grant holders admittance to interactive education areas will be set up for the day. There will also be games, and survivors will be able to share their stories with others who understand what they are going through. Items such as the passport can be designed and then produced by a booklet printing company.
The walk itself will be three miles long, is accessible to those who need a wheelchair or other mobility device, and is family friendly, A rest stop will be erected at the halfway point of the route so people can stop and refresh themselves before they continue.
The event, which has been scheduled for June 11 in Warwick City Park, will take place no matter the weather. It will begin at 9:30 am when participants can check in and receive their Action Passport. After that, there will be a welcome program and then the actual walk will start at 11:00 am.
