A Warwick organization that helps rescue and rehome parrots will be opening its doors to the public for an information session.
While members of the parrot family are a common pet, they may not be for everyone. During this workshop. Rhode Island Parrot Rescue will have adoption specialists on hand to answer questions, offer advice and let those who attend know what life with one of these colorful birds can be like. The goal is to make sure people know what to expect if they add a parrot to their family, which can result in a better outcome for both the people and bird alike.
Guests at the function will be offered a tour, and they can find out about the steps that are part of the adoption process. They can discuss topics related to parrot care such as training, nutrition and enrichment, and they will be welcome to meet and get to know the members of the group’s flock. Adoption Forms and other items can be custom designed by Stationery printers, which can be used by a not-for-profit like this during the rehoming process.
The planners of this event explained that it is open to both current and prospective parrot owners alike. They went on to say that ear plugs will be supplied to the visitors, due to the levels of noise the birds sometimes make.
This free event will be welcoming visitors to Rhode Island Parrot Rescue’s facility, which can be found at 2141 West Shore Road in Warwick. It will be held on June 28.
