Startup aims to make doctors sensitive to patients

A startup called Empathetics Inc. has come up with the aspiration of making physicians better at dealing with their patients.

The firm was involved with a study at a hospital in Massachusetts. This randomized research indicated that patience satisfaction was increased when doctors had undergone training in empathy. The enterprise, which has originated in Boston, could source digital Business Cards from Warwick.

Dr Helen Reiss, the chair of Empathetics Inc., has stated:

“Our goal is to expand our course offerings so that everyone working at a healthcare organization can receive the same foundational skill sets in empathy, which is the cornerstone of the patient experience.”


The education which was performed at the general hospital in Massachusetts has been rolled out to other organizations across the United States. Some work has been done outside conventional hospital settings.

The recipients of the training so far have been mainly doctors and nurses. More healthcare professionals could soon benefit from the courses in question because of increasing investment in the organization.

The corporation is hoping to develop sales further with $1.5m from Key Venture Partners LLC and GDN Holdings LLC. Empathetics Inc. already has plans for spending some of this cash. It has the specific target of creating fresh learning programs tailored to the requirements of different groups involved in the health market.
