A Warwick event will celebrate peregrine falcons, which are the world’s fastest animals and are fighting their way back from nearly becoming extinct.
The proceeds from 2018 Party for the Peregrines will be used to help fund an assortment of initiatives offered by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island that help peregrines and other raptors. It will also be used to help meet the cost of habitat restoration that can provide living space for these birds, along with other wildlife.
The event will open with a VIP reception, where guests will be able to meet a falcon and other raptors. Both hors d’oeuvres and appetizers will be served, and there will also be both live and silent auctions included on the agenda. The suggested dress for the occasion is smart casual.
The organizers of the function have made both VIP Falcon level and Kestrel tickets available. The party will be held in East Providence’s Squantum Club, and anyone who would like to help the state’s birds of prey is welcome. April 21 has been selected as the date for this function, and tickets start at $85 each. Donations to the cause will also be appreciated, and more details are available on the Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Facebook listing.
