Reflexology for the foot to be topic of Warwick event

A full two days of training for foot care professionals will soon be on offer in Warwick, and both certified reflexologists and massage therapists who have some previous experience in the field of reflexology are welcome to attend.

The workshop will give those who take part an opportunity to build their skills, and the planners noted that it is not intended to be an introductory course. The participants may qualify for continuing education credits in their state, and it will be facilitated by Karen Ball.

The students in the training will learn how they can use reflexology to aid in treating a variety of foot conditions, including gout, bunions, and other sources of discomfort. The learning will be hands-on, and there will be a discussion of the causes of foot problems and a review of self-care options that practitioners can recommend to their clients. Tips for the selection of proper footwear will also be reviewed.

The weekend of training will be offered at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Warwick, which is offering a discount for those who would like to book a room while they attend the event. Printed handouts and other materials for this type of educational function can be provided by local Print shops.

The reflexology course will be offered on September 8 and 9. The registration fee to be included in the training is $325 each.
