The 4th annual All White Masquerade Ball is taking place this December. It is a fundraising event for the programs of Caritas Smiles.
Guests, who are all expected to dress in white and don masks, will enjoy Latin music, art, dance, and entertainment. They will be treated to dinner and there will likely be a cash bar. In addition, there are set to be silent auctions and raffles.
There is also a toy drive, and those who bring a new toy will receive $5 off of their ticket price. Local businesses are encouraged to donate items for the auctions and the raffles.
Caritas Smiles helps children in the Caribbean and Latin America by providing toys and helping to build necessary facilities. The funds raised at the masquerade will go towards finishing the building of a school.
Usually with a silent auction, there is a sign or a card beside it that names the company that donated the item. Local sign printing companies may be asked to provide these so that guests, who will no doubt travel from nearby areas like Warwick, know what to expect.
The Masquerade Ball will be held at the Rhode Island Shriners Imperial Room on December 20 from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $50 each, $45 with the donation of a toy or $400 for a table of eight.
