Annual festival ushers in the fall

Locals with a fondness for arts and crafts are no doubt checking off the days until the 16th annual Slater Park Fall Festival

Part of the Pawtucket Arts Festival, which runs throughout September and features a number of events, this year's Fall Festival is expected to feature more than 100 arts and crafts vendors.

A juried art show, vendors will be selling homemade and unique items like jewelry, watercolors, and decorative accessories. There are also set to be food trucks, live music on three stages, a kids’ tent, and a car cruise. In addition, visitors will be able to visit the Daggett Farm and house, stop in at the RI Watercolor Society, or ride on the Looff Carousel.

Musical guests this year include the RI Philharmonic ‘Pops in the Park’. No further guests have been announced yet, but last year’s event featured The Cowsills. Other entertainment will include acrobats and magicians, while the kids’ tent will offer the likes of face painting and crafts.

To let everyone in the area know about this upcoming festival, including those in nearby Warwick, organizers may have investing in flyer printing services.

The Slater Park Fall Festival is being held at Slater Memorial Park from September 13 to 14 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm each day. Admission is free. For more information, contact Joe Giocastro at 401-724-5200.
