Newtown nonprofit to host girls career conference
Soroptimist International of Indian Rock is hosting its fifth annual career conference for girls this March.
Dream It, Be It is designed to help high school girls explore their career options and learn how to set and achieve career goals. It will include speakers, interactive activities and mentoring. The volunteer event facilitators are women in a variety of professions who are prepared to share their experiences and help participants develop their skills. A full schedule will be provided after registration.
The conference is free to attend. Space is limited, so those interested should sign up on Soroptimist’s website as soon as possible. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Bus transportation from Warminster, Bristol and Bensalem may be provided depending on demand. Those interested in transportation should indicate this on their registration forms.

Nonprofits often use brochure printing services to share information about their programs. Soroptimist also awards scholarships for college and continuing education. Conference participants who are high school seniors can apply for a specific Dream It, Be It scholarship.
