Annual car show to return to Newtown
The Newtown Business Association (NBA) is hosting its annual Antique and Classic Auto Show in July.
Free to attend for spectators, there will be food trucks with lunch, snacks, and beverages available for purchase. State Street is closed for the show, and additional street closures may be announced closer to the event weekend, so attendees should plan their routes accordingly. Municipal parking lots are generally open for special events in Newtown.
Car owners interested in entering their vehicles can do so on the NBA’s website through July 6. Any cars from 2000 or older are eligible, as well as newer models that are rare or of special interest. The registration fee is $25. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories, including decades from pre-1920 to the 1990s, trucks, corvettes, foreign cars, and custom or modified vehicles. The featured marque car is any type of classic Porsche.
There are several sponsorship opportunities for NBA member businesses. These include gold, silver, and bronze trophy sponsorships, as well as packages that include listings in promotional materials. Organizations often use graphic design services to create ads for their events.
