Race set for North Olmsted

A run/walk event is set for North Olmsted that will reward participants with a cold brew at the end of the day.

Fat Head’s Brewery 5K Race and 1 Mile Walk is back on the schedule for later this year. This is the third year for the race. Several things have been added this year, including the opportunity to do a one-mile walk; in addition, everyone who participates will receive a finisher medal.

Racers may pick up their packets the day before the race, from 4.00 pm until 7.00 pm, at Fat Heads Brewery. They also have the opportunity to register and receive their materials on the day of the race, at 7.30 am. The 5K event, which is a run/walk, as well as the 1 Mile Walk, will start at 9.00 am. Awards will be presented starting at approximately 10.00 am.

The registration fee for the 5K Run, which will be timed, is $35 for those who pre-register, and $40 for those who register on the day of the race.

The date of the race is August 29, and will start and end at the brewery. The last day to register online is 9.00 am on August 28. People Mailing their entry Forms must make certain they will be received by August 26. Checks should be made out to Hermes Sports and Events. Banner printing can be used to create course markers for events like this.
