The North Olmsted Arts Commission is inviting everyone to come and enjoy local talent at the upcoming Open Mic Night at the Springvale Coffeehouse.
The first Open Mic was held a year ago and reflects the Arts Commission's desire to promote many different art Forms in the city. Leah Rogalski-Davis, the chair of the commission, said the evening is meant to showcase local artists in an informal setting, adding there will be a cash bar adults may patronize, while Fragapane's provides finger food. However, the commission really wants performers of every age and skill level to enjoy performing at the venue. Banner printing can be used to make fantastic decorations for events like this.
The commission wants to encourage all arts inside North Olmsted, including performing arts, fine arts, and cultural arts, for everyone's benefit. The commission has been successful in putting on large-scale events in the city but wants to branch out from these big events to something more intimate.
Rogalski-Davis added that the commission has every intention of
continuing its signature events, which are often held in North Olmsted
Park, but also wants to have a continuing series of smaller programs all
year long.
The upcoming Open Mic Night is set for February 21, with doors opening at 6.00 pm, and performances beginning at 6.30 pm. There is no cost, and there will be light refreshments available.
