Those in North Olmsted searching for new careers can attend an eight-week web series being offered by the Cuyahoga County Public Library.
The 2023 Job Seekers Series is a free program where people can receive professional advice for finding new employment opportunities. The first four weeks of the series will teach viewers how to confidently navigate modern job search processes. The topics covered in this section of the program include how to leverage one’s strengths when applying for new jobs, the top qualities employers want from their applicants, and popular job search strategies.
The second part of the series will cover the application process and provide tips on how to stand as an applicant. Listeners will be taught how to use networking and professional LinkedIn profiles to make good first impressions on employers. The program also teaches people what to do before, during, and after an interview. The final week of the jobseeker series will allow participants to practice their interviewing skills.
The program will begin on February 8 and will be held weekly on Wednesdays. Those interested must register in advance to receive Zoom links to the presentations. The links will be given to registrants 24 to 48 hours before the series. Libraries in charge of public programs like this may market their lectures to patrons with poster printing services.
