North Olmsted to host child-friendly cookie decorating class

Val's Cookie Corner will hold a themed cookie decorating workshop in February at the Panera Bread in North Olmsted.

Valentine's Cookies with Kids is a course where children can improve their decorating skills alongside their parents. Each child and parent will receive sugar cookies, sprinkles, and royal icing for the workshop. Participants will leave the program with three decorated cookies. Parents can also purchase take-home kits at the workshop to continue the activity at home. All groups will get a disposable tray for taking their cookies home, though people may bring their own containers to the event.

Val's Cookie Corner is a bakery in Northridge, Ohio that hosts several cookie decorating courses. Many of the classes are themed after seasons, such as the Winter Wonderland Cookie Decorating Class and the Springtime Cookie Decorating Class. The company also participates in local events like Avon Lake's Eclipse Watch Party. Customers can occasionally purchase non-decorated cookies from the bakery's website.

The cookie decorating workshop will be on Sunday, February 4 from 2:00pm to 3:15pm. Tickets to the class will cost children and parents $25 each. The intended age range for kids participating in the workshop is 3-12. Space is limited, so only parents who will take part in the workshop can attend the event. Business owners who offer classes such as this may use flyer printing to advertise their courses.
