North Olmsted to hold gaming trade show

A convention for classic consoles and arcade games will be held at the North Olmsted Soccer Sportsplex in July.

Cleveland’s Classic Console & Arcade Gaming Show is an experience where fans of vintage games can see an impressive collection of computer and video games. Several classic gaming systems have appeared at the convention, including the Bally Astrocade, Philips CDi, and Intellivision. Attendees will receive a free prize giveaway ticket for a chance to win items like a repaired Virtual Boy System and game-themed silver coins. Food can be ordered at the venue’s concession area.

Vendors interested in displaying their wares at the console and arcade convention can reserve a table for $75. The soccer complex can accommodate up to 114 tables, and some spaces have electricity available for an additional fee. Businesses may only reserve up to four tables. Companies can also donate a door prize for the event if they wish. The spaces come with one chair, and additional chairs may be rented from the venue for $3 each.

The gaming show will be held on Saturday, July 22 from noon to 7:00 pm. Admission will cost $10 per person, though children aged ten and under can enter the convention free of charge. All guests are required to wear wristbands while at the show. Companies in charge of expos like this may use flyer printing to help with increasing local interest in the event.
