North Olmsted game store to give painting lesson

Recess Games in North Olmsted will be offering a class in December on how to use paint to elevate the look of figurines.

The Recess Painting Guild is a monthly series where people can learn painting techniques that bring life to their miniatures. The course is led by Jose Leal and will cover topics such as shading, priming, and special effects. The series is intended for those who are at a beginner or intermediate level and will cover different techniques at each student’s pace. Participants are allowed to bring their own supplies and models to the painting guild.

Recess Games is a store and gaming community that offers experiences for all ages. Many activities are organized by the business, including the Monday Board Game Meetup, Modern Store Tournament, and the Recess Games D&D Adventure League. The venue also regularly plays games such as Marvel Crisis Protocol and Pokémon. Customers can purchase board games, card games, comic books, and art supplies from the store.

The figurine painting session will be held on Saturday, December 3rd and will begin at 1:00 pm. No registration is required to join Leal’s lesson, and the program is free for all guests. Painter kits will be available to purchase at the venue. Stores that offer in-house events like this may use flyer printing to locally market their activities.
