A talented funk and soul band will be coming to North Olmsted to perform in June as part of the Summer Concert Series.
The Soul Men, Blues Brothers Tribute is a free performance the community can enjoy at the North Olmsted Gazebo. The group performing the tribute is the Swizzle Stick Band, a big band known for playing funk, soul, and rock and roll hits. The performers are from Akron, Ohio and have played at several venues, including Jilly’s Music Room, Cuyahoga Falls Moose Club, and Russo’s Bacchus Lounge. They also played at the Bluetip Festival.
The Summer Concert Series is a program offered by the North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Department where locals can view live performances throughout June, July, and August. Many styles of music will be played during the shows, such as country, yacht rock, and classic rock. A few of the bands featured in the program include Revolution Pie and Off the Record. Each show will be suitable for families, and food will be available to purchase from food trucks.
The tribute performance will take place on Saturday, June 10 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No registration is necessary to see the Swizzle Stick Band perform. The next event in the Summer Concert Series will be held on June 24. Recreation departments that organize concerts like this can use poster printing to let consumers from nearby neighborhoods know about the events.
