A hike with a goal is on the schedule in North Olmsted.
The Beauty Boost has organized a series of events they are calling Cleveland: Goal Hiking. The Beauty Boost is a nationwide company that organizes events to support and empower women to help them realize their potential and encourage continual self-improvement. Company officials say they hope to create a community that gives women the energized feeling they experience after a weekend retreat. They also note they have worked with many women who no longer enjoy social events such as parties and happy hours and are looking for healthier alternatives. With these ideas in mind, they created the Beauty Boost and began organizing workshops and events.
The upcoming hike in North Olmsted is scheduled to take place in the Rocky River Reservation. Participants should wear appropriate attire including hiking shoes, bring water or perhaps coffee and a journal, and meet at the trail. The plans for the day include an initial meet-and-greet at the trailhead; a hike lasting one hour, open to hikers of all skill levels; granola bars for everyone; and a coaching session half-way through the hike. The leader of the mini-coaching event is Rachel Sray MS, RD, LD.
The hike is scheduled for May 2, from 10.00 am until 11.30 am. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create informative handouts for participants.
