There are a huge number of health plans on the market, from private insurers to Medicare. A new Superstore recently opened that can help people make sense of the plans offered.
The Health Plan Superstore, the first of its type, has a number of independent agents who represent almost every life insurance and healthcare company in the state of Ohio. The agents are customer advocates, giving them options, answering their questions, and matching the client to the plan that meets their budget and needs the best. If the person seeking assistance is looking for a Medicare option, there is no charge for the service.
Mike Whitaker is an insurance professional, and a co-owner of the Superstore. He says his facility’s goal is to save their customers time and money by providing them with all the information they need to make the best selection. He says that most first-time customers save more than $600 when the agents conduct a review of the drugs they take. Companies like this can use brochure printers to create a booklet explaining their services.
Whitaker explained that the Superstore is unique because none of the agents are attached to any particular insurer, making them completely impartial. They can work solely on behalf of their customer, without worrying about having to “push” a particular company or product.
The Superstore is in North Olmsted’s Great Northern Mall.
