The Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders (OCBS) will be organizing an expo in September at the Rocky River Nature Center in North Olmsted.
The 29th Annual OCBS Steelhead Expo is an event where people can learn more about fishing from several professionals. The experts at the convention will teach attendees how to fly fish. Guests will also get to learn how they can help protect local rivers by visiting the event’s conservation organizations. People can even interact with tackle shop owners to get advice on the right gear to use when fishing. The event will be open to non-members of the OCBS.
The OCBS was founded in 1984 by a few individuals who had a shared interest in steelhead trout. The club wanted to educate fishers about the fish and help support the state’s steelhead stocking program. Those interested in joining the organization can pay $43 for a single membership and a magazine. The benefits of joining the group include access to on-river seminars, club tournaments, and monthly membership meetings.
The expo will be on September 23 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Pre-registration is not required for the conference, and there are no ticket prices for the event. Companies interested in advertising with the OCBS can contact the club on their website. Organizations that receive support from sponsors can show their gratitude by giving them Corporate Gifts.
