Fairview Park plans to move forward in 2012

Mayor Eileen Patton of Fairview says that 2012 presents a good opportunity for the city to move forward and achieve some goals. The mayor reports financial rollovers going into 2012 that will assist in creating programs, providing services and continuing with redevelopment projects.

A number of redevelopment projects are currently underway, including the construction of an assisted living and nursing home facility. Also in the works is the development of the United Telephone Credit Union offices located where the former Cleveland Motel was on 22735 Lorain Road. Yet another redevelopment program currently underway in Fairview Park is the improvements and renovations to the Fairview Center, commonly referred to as the Fairview Shopping Center.

As plans for new businesses and redevelopment programs progress in Fairview Park throughout the year, business is likely to also increase for local and surrounding printing companies. Newly established companies and small businesses in the area often require business card printing, Stationery printing and a number of other printing services. If the city advances in 2012 as predicted, Fairview Park Print companies should prepare to advance right along with it.

Other plans for Fairview Park in 2012 include sewer projects, street projects and repair of the aging infrastructure. In addition to the approximately $2 million that flows into the sewer fund each year, the city has also applied for 2 grants to further fund these and other projects. These grants total almost $1 million to supplement the projects in 2012.
