Fairview Family Summerfest has been a Fairview Park tradition for more than 20 years. The first celebration was held in Bohlken Park in 1992, and this year's festival will also take place at the park, though it has grown considerably over the tears. Now, it will take place over four days and includes such aspects as rides, food vendors, a pancake breakfast, and a parade.
Things get rolling on Thursday, June 26th, when rides will be running from 6pm to 11pm. The next day is the real start of the fun, as the Friday kicks off with the parade a 6pm. Official opening ceremonies will follow the parade, and are scheduled for 7.30pm.
Other activities include softball games, rides, and live bands from 7pm-11pm. One name on the line-up is the Shady Drive Band, while The Soul Men – a Blues Brothers tribute band – will play when Shady Drive takes a break.
Saturday brings more ball games, live music, plus a spaghetti dinner at 5pm and fireworks at dusk. Sunday is the final day of the festival, and features a pancake breakfast, doggie parade, brownie bake-off, pony rides, and bingo. This truly is an old-fashioned, family-friendly celebration.
Summerfest organizers could consider working with a banner printing company to create festive flags for the occasion. Since it's outside, they'll need something sturdy, and Banners are meant for outdoor use.Get a Free Quote for Banners
