Annual race coming up in North Olmsted

The date has been set for a fun event in North Olmsted, and runners should get ready.

The second annual Fat Heads Brewery 5K will take place soon. The run/walk will start at the North Olmsted City Hall on Dover Center Road, and finish at Fat Heads Brewery on Lorain Road.

The event is August 24, with those who want to register on race day asked to arrive at 7.30 am. The race itself will start at 9.30 am. Awards will be presented at approximately 11.00 am.

There are several registration options. Runners who have already registered may pick up their packets at Fat Heads Brewery on August 23, from 4.00 pm until 7.00 pm. If runners want to register online, they must do so by 9.00 am on August 23.

If they wish to mail in their registration, they must make sure they are received by August 21. Those registering by mail should send their registration to Hermes Sports & Events, 2425 West 11th Street, Suite #2, Cleveland, OH 44113. Registration fees are $35 before race day, and $40 on the day of the event.

A party will be held at Fat Heads after the race. Attendees will enjoy one free special beer called Head Runner, refreshments, and a t-shirt. A raffle is also planned. Banner printing is often used to create decorations to mark a course for events like this.
