Paranormal researcher to visit Colerain library

Those in Colerain who like spooky stories will want to attend a presentation in October at the Groesbeck library.

Ghosthunting Ohio is a presentation where people can hear from John Kachuba, an author and paranormal investigator. Guests will listen to Kachuba’s stories about haunted locations throughout the state. He wrote Ghosthunting Ohio in 2004 and has since worked on books related to ghosthunting in New Jersey, Florida, and Illinois. Kachuba also made a sequel to Ghosthunting Ohio in 2011 that covers nearly three dozen haunted areas.

John Kachuba is a creative writing professor who has taught at Ohio University, Sacred Heart University, and Antioch University Midwest. He participated in several competitions, including the Royal Nonesuch Humor Writing Contest, the Thurber Treat Humor Writing Contest, and the Ohio University Fusion Project. Kachuba has given presentations at notable events such as the Writers and Authors Symposium, the Paranormal Gathering at the Windemere, and the Frogman Festival. He also edited the How to Write Funny anthology.

The night of ghost stories with John Kachuba will be on Tuesday, October 22nd from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The presentation is meant for teens and adults. No registration or ticket purchases are necessary to attend Kachuba’s discussion. Libraries that have special guests like this may use print shops to create posters and flyers that promote their events to more patrons.
