Discover dinosaurs during Colerain childrens program
The Cincinnati Museum Center will be presenting a virtual activity in February, where Colerain children can get introduced to paleontology.
Families can tune into a Zoom meeting held by the Cincinnati Public Library to learn about paleontology and join the presenters on a mock dinosaur dig. Viewers will be taught how fossils are formed and how to properly differentiate fossils from rocks. The activity will showcase fossils belonging to famous dinosaurs, including stegosaurus and raptor remains. The show is intended for students between the first and fourth grades.
The Cincinnati Public Library offers monthly online events to help educate and entertain children in a safe manner. Virtual STEAM programs provided by the library cover several subjects, such as insects, animal adaptions, and the impact of inventions. The Cincinnati Museum Center also offers virtual field trips for kids, though the experience will cost $75 each. Organizations like this with informative programming can use flyer printing to generate more awareness for the event.
The paleontology presentation will be held on Wednesday, February 3 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There are no admission fees for the activity, though families must register for the Zoom meeting in advance. All participants will need to provide an email address to receive a link to the Zoom call. The next Virtual STEAM program will be held on Wednesday, March 3.
