Colerain virtual series to discuss polarising album

Colerain viewers can join a live discussion in April to hear a debate over the quality of U2’s 1997 “Pop” album.

My Favorite Album is Terrible is a virtual series organized by the Cincinnati Public Library that revisits infamous albums. Episode four of the series will be hosted by Kent Mulcahy and the manager of the library’s Oakley Branch, Chris Oaks. During the program, Oaks will be defending the generally unpopular ninth album from Irish band U2 and will attempt to bring more people to his opinion. The library has provided a link to the CD where viewers can familiarize themselves with the album’s content.

People will have an opportunity to participate in the episode while it airs. Listeners can give their opinions in the comment section, which will be read by the host. Mulcahy will also share helpful library resources about the topic throughout the conversation. Fans of the series can even submit suggestions for future albums to cover by emailing Mulcahy. Organizations offering entertaining programs like this can use flyer printing for marketing their activities to others.

This is the fourth episode of the series, with previous ones having looked at questionably received albums from Anderson Paak and Van Halen, and it will be held on Thursday, April 1 from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Those who want to join do not need to register in advance, though they can RSVP on the library’s Facebook page to be notified when the event begins. The program is suitable for adults.
