Colerain to give dance course for beginners

Colerain residents want to learn how to perform ballet moves can attend an event in July at the Groesbeck Library.

Dance Discovery with Cincinnati Ballet is an educational activity that introduces people to approachable dance moves in a fun and supportive teaching environment. The experienced instructors can adjust their lessons to match the skill level of the participants. People of all ability levels are allowed to sign up for the event. Adults and children may attend the course to learn about new dance moves. The program will also cover topics such as creative movement techniques.

The Cincinnati Ballet is a group that has been performing since 1963. The dance company is located in the Cincinnati Ballet Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance in Walnut Hills. Cervilio Miguel Amador is the organization’s current Interim Artistic Director. He is a graduate of the Vocational Ballet School in Camagüey and has worked with several noteworthy choreographers, such as Travis Wall, Jessica Lane, and Victoria Morgan. Amador was also featured in a PBS documentary.

The dance class will take place on Thursday, July 18th from 10:15 am to 11:15 am. There is no cost to take part in the Cincinnati Ballet’s lesson, though all participants are required to register. Libraries that hold similar dance programs to this can promote them to their patrons with help from poster printing services.
