Colerain society to organize group walk

The Germania Volksmarch Gruppe and the Germania Society of Cincinnati will be holding a community walk in Colerain.

The Volksmarch is a group activity where people come together to go on a stroll along a marked trail. The purpose of the program is to help participants develop their physical fitness while enjoying the company of other attendees. After the walk, guests will be served authentic German food at the Germania Society’s clubhouse. The meal will feature foods such as Goulash, Nuremberg, and Mettwurst. People can also purchase German beers on tap at the venue.

The Germania Society of Cincinnati is an organization that wishes to perpetuate German culture to local audiences. A group of immigrants founded the society in 1964, and the first president of the organization was August Schneider. Many activities are organized by the group, like Christkindlmarkt and the Germania Oktoberfest. Associations similar to this may use poster printing to let their communities know about upcoming cultural events.

The Volksmarch will be held on two dates this year. The first walk will be on April 22, and the second walk will take place on October 28. The price to join the activity is $3 per person. Those interested in purchasing beer at the venue’s clubhouse must pay with a credit card. Dogs will be allowed to be brought to both dates of the Volksmarch.
