Colerain library to make donkey milk soap
Members of the community have an opportunity to create customized bars of soap made from donkey milk at the Groesbeck Library in Colerain, Ohio.
Every month, the Groesbeck library hosts events that allow locals to get creative with various crafting projects. The activity for June is creating personalized donkey milk soaps with the help of the presenter Carisa Bunten from Seventh Street Gifts. Those who participate in the event will be given an aged donkey milk soap base to turn into a usable soap bar to take back home.
Seventh Street Gifts is a family-owned company that started in 1999. The business travels to public venues and hosts different DIY projects that people can join, including workshops such as candle making and oil blending. They sell natural wares that promote wellness, like soaps, tea blends, and essential oils. Companies can use these and other items as corporate gifts to show their appreciation of health-conscious clients.
The Groesbeck Library will be holding two soap making sessions on Thursday, June 27th in the Groesbeck Branch Meeting Room. The first session will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and the second session will be from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Anybody interested in participating in the event can register on the library’s website. Both teens and adults will be able to attend the workshop.
