Colerain library educates adults on basics of technology






The North Central Branch Library in Colerain, Ohio will be offering a two-part course that assists adults struggling to understand get to grips with computers this March.









The Computers for Beginners class focuses on the fundamentals every computer owner should know, breaking up the information into an easily understandable hour-long presentation. The first part of the series will teach students about how the mouse and keyboard on a computer function, in addition to desktop navigation and explaining the difference of hardware and software.





Students who attend the second part of the course will learn how to use specific programs on computers. There will be a lesson explaining the different types and sizes of files, including information on how to access certain data as well. The explanation will help attendees learn more about operating programs such as printing paper, allowing them to better utilize printing services at the library or from their personal computers at home.





Any adults who want to find out more about the basics of using computers can register for the event on the library’s website. The class is free to attend, and computers will be provided by the library. The first course will be held on March 7 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, while the second course will be held on March 28 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
