Colerain junior juggler keeps things up in the air for a good cause
Elizabeth Cain might only be in the sixth grade, but she's already earning plenty of recognition for her unique talent and will soon be taking the stage at Finneytown High School in a fundraising show.
A juggler, she took home the Rising Star Award at the International Juggler's Association championship last year. She's performed regularly at area locations such as Music Hall and Museum Center, as well as at more far-flung festivals across the US and Canada.
Juggling seems to run in the family. Both her father and uncle are professional jugglers and have taken home awards for their performance. Although Elizabeth usually performs with her cousin Isabel in an act dubbed Liz and Iz, she'll be performing this November with her father.
The organizers of the Comedy Caravan have used poster printing to promote the event. Along with local performers like Elizabeth, the evening will feature a few big-name acts, such as Marty Pollio of the "Tonight Show" and John Richardson from Bob and Tom's. Proceeds from the Comedy Caravan will support several programs at Finneytown High School, the Music Parents Association, the Boosters, Secondary PTA, and After Prom.
The Comedy Caravan is set to take place on November 14, a Saturday, at 8pm, in the high school's Performing Arts center. General admission tickets are $15 or $25 for two. Student tickets are $10 with ID.
