Colerain gears up for summer fun
Colerain township recently announced the calendar for the 2015 Sizzling Summer Events series, which will feature movies, concerts, and more during June, July, and August.
The township can use poster printing to advertise the movies that will screen over the next few months, promote the musical acts that will perform, and let people know about the rules for parking at the events.
Planned events include Friday Night Movies in the Park. The first movie of the season will be ‘Strange Magic’ this Friday, June 12. The next movie, on June 26, will be ‘Paddington Kids’. Dr. Darcie Bradley, a local orthodontist, is sponsoring the screenings. The movies will start at dusk, and karaoke will take place before the screenings. People who attend the movies are encouraged to bring along their own chairs or blankets to sit on.
The first concert of the season is scheduled for Friday, June 19, starting at 7:00 pm. Ooh La La & the Greasers are set to start off the concert series. The band's style is described as rock and roll from the ‘50s and ‘60s. People are encouraged to pack a picnic and a blanket or chairs, and bring them to the concerts.
Movie screenings and concerts are all set to take place at Colerain Park, in the Amphitheater. Although the events are free, a motor vehicle permit is required to get into the park. The permits are either $5 per day or $10 per year.
