Colerain class to teach adults how to email

Colerain locals interested in learning proper email etiquette can attend a virtual course in August.

Email Etiquette & Tips 101 is a program on Zoom offered by the Cincinnati Public Library where adults will be taught how to create emails like a professional. The session covers information such as commonly misspelled words, how to use punctuation, and when to capitalize words. The brush-up course will also go over using signatures. This lesson is intended for adults who have basic computer skills and access to a personal email.

The class is organized by the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library's Adult Learning Center. The department was co-created by the Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development and the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati. Many services are offered by the library's center, such as adult literacy sessions, basic academic skill building, and assistance with online job applications. The facility also contains computers with programs like Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

The email etiquette lesson will be held on Thursday, August 18 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Adults who wish to take the class must register in advance to receive a Zoom link from the library. Registrants will be emailed the access link approximately 24 hours before the lesson. Organizations that offer educational services like this can promote their adult courses by utilizing flyer printing.
