A Westbury area environmental center wants to help hone their green thumb and introduce houseplants to their homes.
Paul Levine, who is a horticulturalist from the local area, has a list of plants he feels are perfect for the newbie indoor gardener. He will be sharing them during an online workshop that will help budding home horticulturalists hit the ground running.
Levine will review his list of favorites, explaining what makes them perfect for the beginner. He will also discuss how to care for them and get them off to the best start, and there is no cost being charged to sit in on the discussion. Advance registration is mandatory, and once an individual has signed up, they will be sent the joining information for the activity.
As well as being a chance to gain confidence when it comes to houseplant care, this event will see some lucky participants win a new green friend of very own. They will have to pick up their prize in person. Prizes like this pair particularly well with printed sheets of plant care tips, and these can be sourced from local Print shops.
Cold Springs Harbor Library and Environmental Center will be welcoming Levine for his houseplant presentation next Monday, February 1. It will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
