Westbury to host garden tour
Old Westbury Gardens will host a Seasonal Sprouts Fall Tree Tour this October.
Old Westbury Gardens is a historical site that is recorded on the National Register of Historic Locations. It was also the residence of John Phipps, Margarita Phipps, and their children. Constructed in 1906, the grand Charles II-style estate, designed by English architect George A. Crawley, is surrounded by over 190 acres of gardens, ponds, woodlands, and lakes. The estate is also filled with English antiques that were collected while the family resided there.
This hour-long event is tailored for children ages 4 to 6 and includes an engaging tree walk designed to spark curiosity. Young participants will take part in interactive activities and create a take-home craft, extending the fun beyond the tour itself. The tour aims to help children explore the changing autumn landscape while discovering the unique histories of the plant life within the gardens.
Pre-registration for the Fall Tree Tour is required. Tickets are priced at $8 for kids, $15 for adults, and $13 for seniors 62 and older. A 20% discount is available for members. Attendees can register for the tour through the event’s listing.
Brochure printing may be used to provide attendees with information about gardens such as this one.
This tour will take place on Friday, October 4th, from 11 am to 12 pm at 71 Old Westbury Road, Old Westbury, New York.
