The gardening connoisseur often wants to go beyond the common varieties, and an event planned for Westbury will help to connect them with rare and unusual cultivars.
Old Westbury Gardens is set to welcome serious green thumbs for its Early Bird Plant Sale, and those who take advantage of the opportunity will be given first chance to browse through the plants that will be available, buying any that catch their eye. The selection will be curated by the Gardens’ Horticulture Director, and all have a local provenance, so they should thrive in local plantings.
The market will boast a variety of hard-to-find perennials, as well as signature plants raised on site. Staff will be on hand to offer tips and advice, and to help kick off the busy horticultural season, the guests will be invited to enjoy dinner, drinks, and dessert while they meet and mingle with the other attendees. A discounted ticket price is on offer for members.
Plants sales often require using custom materials such as care tags, sleeves, and Packaging supplies. These, along with a selection of customized items like gardening gloves printed with a company’s Logo Design, can be prepared for an event.
The Early Bird Plant Sale will be on offer at Old Westbury Gardens on May 20. It will start at 6:00 pm.
