Westbury Oughta Know about Morissette appearance

Although she has s sold millions of albums and won seven Grammys, Alanis Morissette does not go on tour much, but people in Westbury will have the chance to see the Canadian singer and musician live when she performs at the NYCB Theatre later this month.

Morissette's new tour is being billed as an “intimate and acoustic” event, which should appeal to longtime fans. The concert will not only be an opportunity for Westbury residents to catch the ‘Ironic’ and ‘You Oughta Know’ singer, it will also allow them to support a local charity.

Long Island Cares, an organization that provides food to the hungry and offers services to help people get back on their feet, has reserved 20 tickets to the show. As well as providing a good view, they give ticket-holders the chance to meet fellow donors and to support the local charity.

The organization could use methods like poster printing to spread the word about the concert and its involvement in it, which could help get people even more excited and keen to help.

The special tickets are $110 per person. Part of the sales price will go to the Long Island Cares Endowment Fund. People interested in purchasing tickets can contact Long Island Cares directly.

The concert takes place on July 26, with show time being at 8:00 pm.
