Anthony Pizza and Thomas Dwyer, two alumni from Carle Place near Westbury, have started an ecommerce clothing company, TAYLRD, with the goal of changing the way the millennial consumer shops for clothes.
The two got the inspiration for the company after struggling to find clothes that were affordable and that fit well.
Before launching their company, Dwyer and Pizza conducted some market research to find out what the clothes shopping experience is for millennial men (aged 18 to 32). About 20% said that their partners or significant others shopped for them, while 40% said that their mothers bought their clothing.
Along with market research, the pair are using their own tastes and experiences to shape the company and its offerings.
TAYLRD specializes in casual and corporate clothing for men in their 20s. The button-down shirts and chino pants are meant to be appropriate for both business wear and more relaxed settings alike.
Along with being graduates of Carle Place, Dwyer and Pizza continue to be involved in the community. The pair recently gave a talk during career day. Some of their company's clothing also appeared on the runway during the school's Key Club fashion fundraiser.
Companies that are launching an ecommerce business can use graphic design to create their logo and Website Design, as well as Flyers to promote their ventures.
