The Science Museum of Long Island loves to combine fun and learning, and one of its activities will explore the sweet side of science.
This Westbury area museum has plans in the works for a day that will see kids make discoveries about sugar. It is part of its holiday workshop program for area kids, and the attendees will be grouped by age.
Kids who register for the day will be able to take part in an assortment of hands-on experiments, and it will be offered as a drop-in activity. The attendees will find out how sugar is made from plant sources, as well as how it may be hidden in many of the foods they eat. The activity is targeted at youngsters aged four and above, with each child asked to bring a sack lunch. The set pick up time for the children is 3:00pm.
Parents may really appreciate the opportunity for their children to attend a supervised activity on their days off from school. A poster printing company will let a community know about events that are on offer in their home area.
The Science Museum of Long Island is set to give kids the inside scoop on sugar with its holiday workshop on Wednesday, November 22. The event will get started at 10:00am at 1526 N Plansdome Road in Manhasset.
