What's Happening in Westbury, NY…

Westbury gardeners who have been looking for something special to add to their personal plant collection will soon be helped out by a local event.

Old Westbury Gardens will kick off its Garden Days with an opening reception. This special evening is being offered thanks in part to a selection of local companies that have chosen to support the not-for-profit organization, and both individual and couples’ tickets are being sold for the function.

The guests at the festivities will be invited to meet other green thumbs while they mix and mingle, and light bites and other refreshments will be served. While they enjoy themselves, attendees will also have an opportunity to purchase some rare, unusual, or hard-to-find perennials for their own beds, and exotics and a selection of annuals will also be on offer, along with containers, statuary pieces, and other hard goods.

Supporting an activity like this gives small businesses in the horticultural sector an opportunity to introduce themselves to potential customers. A brochure printing company can supply them with the marketing materials they need to take full advantage of this sort of opportunity.

Old Westbury Gardens will be getting its Gardening Days celebration off to a flying start with this reception for home horticulturalists. Tickets for the function, which will be held on June 11 at 71 Old Westbury Road, are available now.
