Westbury families offered seats in online legal workshop

For many Westbury families, their home is their main asset, and a virtual workshop will give them the knowledge they need to ensure it will be well protected both now and in the future.

Cona Elder Law offers a variety of services, and one of its initiatives is a series of webinars that cover various legal topics. Its end-of-July instalment will investigate the process of creating an estate plan, and it will be specifically geared to a Long Island audience.

Partner Marcus O’Toole-Gelo will guide a discussion about how home ownership may impact Medicaid planning, and it will also explore how it can affect making arrangements for long-term care as well as taxes. It will be all about minimizing risk, and while this activity is an offer to the public at no cost to them, they are requested to register in advance.

Offering the public a chance to learn about their legal rights and responsibilities is one of the ways a law office can serve its community. A brochure printing company will be able to offer an assortment of publications to send out to any of the participants who would like more information.

Cona Elder Law will be hosting this virtual learning activity on July 29. Anyone who is interested in participating is asked to register as soon as possible.
