Every dog has its day, and this will certainly be the case during an afternoon of activities planned for Old Westbury Gardens.
The Westbury canine set will be taking pride of place during a fundraiser that will support all sorts of local animal rescue groups that offer furry, feather, and scaly creatures a refugee when they have nowhere else to go. There will be an assortment of vendors on site selling dog- and pet-related merchandise in what looks set to be a busy day.
The plans for the occasion include displays set up by local rescue groups and animal welfare organizations, and Fido will be able to strut his stuff in a costume parade. Those who would like to enter their dog in the competition must register their pooch by no later than 2:30 pm, and the entry fee is included with admission.
Hosting an event like this can give not-for-profit groups an easy way to help get their message out to the public, and Print shops will be able to get involved as well. They can produce everything from Banners to Promotional Products groups can sell during the function to help raise funds for their causes.
Old Westbury Gardens will be hosting this dog friendly function on October 25. It will begin at 11:00 am.
