Westbury area to hold community markets

A schedule of summer “fleas” is on the way for the Westbury area, and these events will offer the public lots to see and do.

Hicksville Gregory Museum will be hosting a series of summer Flea Markets, with the last one scheduled for early September. Each will include a selection of local crafters and other vendors, and the area's business community will also have information tables set up.

To help make these pop-up markets a success, the organizers are accepting applications from vendors who would like to get involved. Spaces are available for booking, and each is eight feet by six feet. The booking fee is $40 for each day, and spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Set up will begin at 8:00 am, and dates are available in July and September. Clothing, baked goods, handmade items and food are just some of what will be on offer to the members of the public who stop by.

A community flea can be a fun way to raise funds for a cause. Signage can help to make sure as many as possible know about an activity, and these can be prepared by a local poster printing company.

The Hicksville Gregory Museum will be hosting its Summer Flea Markets on July 9 and 10, as well as September 3. Its website provides information that may be useful to anyone who plans on submitting a vendor application.
