A Westbury area event that honors the life of USMC 1st Lt. Michael LiCalzi and the other men and women who help to keep the country safe is set to make its return for its 10th year. It will be held in Lido Beach, and it is intended to be a fun and non-competitive event.
The 10th Annual Beach Run & Walk, which is an important fundraiser for the Ace in the Hole Foundation, has been planned so that all ages can participate. Since it is intended to be a laid-back occasion no timing will take place, but runners are welcome to time themselves and see if they can beat their personal best.
The staging area for the activity will be set up at Lido West Beach in the area adjacent to 1st Lt. Michael LiCalzi Path. Registration will start at 9:00 am, and the morning will kick off with a special ceremony before the participants head out for the fundraiser.
The organizers noted that the route will be well marked, and the participants can choose from a long or short course. Those who wish to run or jog will set off first, while those who plan on walking will be asked to begin afterwards. Each of the people who registers will receive a specially designed T-shirt, and printing services provider can supply these along with Signs, finish line Banners and other items that can help to make this sort of occasion complete.
This fundraiser will be held in Lido Beach on May 11. More details can be obtained by visiting its online listing.
