Niche, Inc., a website that compiles rankings and reviews of schools across the U.S., created the report. Carle Place Middle and High School was ranked 71 out of 100 public schools in the state. The school's student culture, diversity, academic strength, teacher quality, facilities and resources, extracurricular activity options, and sports and fitness were all evaluated when it was ranked.
Carle Place earned top marks for both teachers, and resources and facilities, getting an ‘A+’ in both categories. The school received an ‘A’ grade in health and safety and academics. When it came to sports and fitness, and extracurricular, earning a ‘B-’ and a ‘B+’ in each category respectively.
The school can use banner printing to celebrate its high ranking. Dave Flatley, the superintendent of Carle Place, told the Westbury Times:
"It is always nice to be recognized for the excellent work of our students, teachers and administrators. The Carle Place community has always been so supportive of our schools, so it is important that we do our best to provide a high return on that investment."
Carle Place is no stranger to high rankings; the Washington Post named it one of the Most Challenging High Schools in the country last year. U.S. News and World Report also named it one of the top high schools in the country.
