Local band to play free show in Westbury
At the end of June, local band Black and Sparrow will play a free show at the Space at Westbury.
The band consists of Klyph Black and John Sparrow, two guitarists with plenty of experience under their belts. The pair have been playing together for years, and although they recently took some time off, they are back together, this time performing and recording with a full band.
The duo met at the Record Plant in New York while working on separate projects. Black was working with a band called Urgent, while Sparrow was leading a band called Johnny Sparrow and the Vidals. A few years after meeting, they put together Black and Sparrow, released an album called "Friend and Partner", and toured Switzerland.
The band can use flyer printing to promote their upcoming show, as well as their new album. The concert at the Space marks the relaunch of the band and a commitment to live music. The pair also recently released a new album, "Second Time Around", which features a 12-string guitar, bass, and drums, as well as Black and Sparrow each on guitar.
The June 27th show will be held in the Lounge at the Space, at 250 Post Avenue. The show starts at 9pm and admits only those aged 21 and over. There's no cover charge, and no reservations are needed.
