Paperwhites, amaryllis bulbs, poinsettias, cyclamens, and succulent forest cacti are all popular houseplants during the holiday season, and a Williamsville workshop will teach how to care for these species.
Tickets for the Holiday Houseplants gardening class are still available at the time of writing, priced at $25 each. A discount for the activity may be available to Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden members, and everyone is welcome.
The session, which will be facilitated by David Clark, will supply the attendees with tips and tricks they can use for extending the life of their holiday houseplants, and some may even be kept to put into practice next year. The class is a new offering on the gardens’ schedule, and it will be taking place in person at the venue’s Administration Building. Advanced registration is mandatory and will close on Tuesday, December 6.
One of the roles often undertaken by a botanical garden or arboretum is to educate the public on topics related to horticulture and the environment. A flyer printing company can prepare mailers and other materials that inform people about learning opportunities available to them in their local area.
This chance to learn how to provide holiday houseplants with some much needed care will begin at 10:30 am on December 9. The class will run for one hour.
