Professional chefs to teach pasta making
Expert chefs will be teaching people in Ocean City how to make their own hand-made pasta.
The Hands-on Pasta Workshop offers a unique experience for anyone interested in learning the art of pasta making, regardless of their prior experience. Led by Chef Laurie Boucher and Chef Frank Granito of Pasta Like a Pro and Cheese Wheel Pasta, the workshop allows participants to explore traditional Southern Italian pasta making techniques in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Brochure printing could include the itinerary for such an event.
The workshop is centered on simple techniques and traditional approaches. Attendees will learn how to mix flour into pasta using only their hands, without adding eggs or using any special instruments. With the help of Boucher, artists will use a prepared dough to learn how to knead, twist, and then shape it in various ways that resemble southern Italian pasta shapes.
Having made enough plates of pasta for everybody, guests will finish the evening off with a feast. The handmade pasta will be combined with a sauce that complements it and is served by Granito. This shared meal adds to the workshop's sense of community and accomplishment.
