The public schools in Baltimore County have over 100 magnet programs suitable for all grades from elementary through high school. At Western Tech specifically, eleven such programs are offered: automotive services; business finance and management; cosmetology; restaurant management and culinary arts; environmental technology; environmental science; graphic Print communications; mechanical construction with an emphasis on plumbing; health; and two programs in information technology—programming and networking pathway.
The school encourages any student in Baltimore County who is interested in any of the fields, and has a particular aptitude or talent for it, to apply. The deadline for applications for all the magnet programs the county offers is November 30.
Western Tech might consider working with a brochure printing company to create a pamphlet for Mailing to area residents describing the programs.
